They represent 9 parishes within the Archdiocese of Mobile. They travel from Mobile, Stockton, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Montrose, Fairhope, Point Clear, Robertsdale, Loxley, Magnolia Springs, Foley and Gulf Shores. Some are even Episcopalian, Anglican and Lutheran.
For five years, over 430 committed, weekly guardians of the Blessed Sacrament have created a powerhouse of prayer by adoring Jesus at Christ the King’s Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Daphne.
This beautiful outpouring of faith and love has enabled everyone the opportunity to visit Jesus anytime during the day or night on the Eastern Shore. Drop-in visits number over 1000 a week, thanks to a diligent committee of 30 men and women who work to insure all 168 weekly hours are covered with faithful prayer guardians always before the Blessed Sacrament.
Mother Teresa and John Paul II were living examples of the fruits of Eucharistic Adoration. No matter how busy they were or how many important people they had to see, they made sure that they spent time with the most important Person of all: Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Every day they spent 2 to 3 hours in His Eucharistic Presence, and they told the whole world that this was where they got all their energy to do so much for God and His people.
If you feel called to grow closer to Jesus and show your love to Him in a radical way, consider committing one hour a week with Him. For more information visit

A five year celebration of PEA was held March 12th with a mass, dinner, and video presentation. Father Paul Zoghby was guest celebrant and speaker with over 250 in attendance. Christ the King’s Blessed Sacrament Chapel is the only perpetual adoration chapel south of Montgomery, AL and east of New Orleans, LA.
“The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this Sacrament of Love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet Him in Adoration, in contemplation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious offenses and crimes of the world. Let our Adoration never cease.” Saint Pope John Paul II
Why go to Adoration? You go to Adoration to deepen your personal relationship with Jesus and grow in faith, hope, and love. Jesus will give you His peace within you as you spend time with Him. Just as you can’t be exposed to the sun without receiving its rays, neither can you come into the light and presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament without receiving the divine rays of His grace, His love and His peace.
What do I do during my hour? You may spend the time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament any way you want. You may read the Bible, write in a prayer journal, bring spiritual books (or read some from our library), pray the rosary, or just sit, relax and enjoy the peace that comes from being in His Presence. You may feel you can’t pray well. Don’t let that discourage you. The fact that you come to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament pleases Him very much and is, in itself, a prayer of faith.
How can I show my Love for Jesus? You can show your love by making a weekly commitment to Him. By kneeling on both knees before going into the pews, you acknowledge His True Presence. As you lift your mind and heart to Jesus during Adoration, try thinking about His suffering and believe He suffered all He did because you are very precious and worth everything to Him!
“Our essential commitment in life is to grow spiritually in the climate of the Holy Eucharist.” Saint Pope John Paul II
