We welcome our guest seminarian, Gabe Mills, from St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in Indiana. Gabe is a native Mobilian and 1995 graduate of Davidson High School. Gabe credits his grandmother as the force behind his receiving the sacraments of Baptism and the Holy Eucharist at age 11 from Fr. Deasy while at Little Flower Parish, and being active in the parish through his formative years. During his young adulthood, Gabe spent 16 years working with UPS and his path with his faith life became unclear. After attending the baptism of a friend's daughter at Our Savior Parish, he was reawakened to the Catholic faith and began an active faith life at Our Savior.
Gabe is entering his second year at St. Meinrad and has developed a relationship with his fellow seminarians he will be serving alongside, and they have become like family. This summer, he will be participating in One Faith One Family, working with the Marian Society, traveling with the EDGE Birmingham mission trip, and with Life Teen on their Charleston mission trip. He recently spent the weekend with our Youth Ministry students at their Panama City Retreat and is pleased to see the impact this event has in the lives of our parish youth.
An avid political junkie, Constitutionalist and Patriot, outdoorsman, and a country boy at heart...stop and say hello when you see our summer seminarian around CTK and upcoming events and activities.
