SACRAMENT OF HOLY MATRIMONY

The Catholic Church teaches marriage between two baptized persons is a sacrament. The Old Testament prophets saw the marriage of a man and woman as a symbol of the covenant relationship between God and his people. The mutual sacrifice and devotion of husband and wife is a true picture of Christ's sanctifying sacrifice and devotion to His Church.  Couples planning to be married at Christ the King should notify the Parish Office at least six months in advance of their wedding date. This will ensure adequate time to make arrangements and to complete the required sacramental marriage preparation program.
